SheetRevive

Privacy Policy

SheetRevive is operated by Shift Warden LLC. Effective date: September 11, 2026.

Last updated: September 11, 2026

1. Overview

SheetRevive is built so you can clean a spreadsheet without creating an account and without sending the file to our servers for standard cleanup. SheetRevive is operated by Shift Warden LLC. This policy explains what information we do and do not collect.

2. Local tool use

CSV and Excel (.xlsx) files you drop on SheetRevive are read in your browser. Profiling, previews, fixes, and downloads happen in memory on your computer. Standard spreadsheet analysis and cleaning happen in your browser. We do not intentionally upload or store spreadsheet contents on SheetRevive servers during standard use. Spreadsheet contents, cell values, column names, sheet names, and file names are not transmitted to our servers as part of standard cleanup.

3. Support reports

If you report a problem through the support page, we store the information you voluntarily submit: your case description, your email if you choose to provide it, and privacy-safe diagnostics such as app version, browser family, and approximate data size (row-count bucket). SheetRevive does not automatically attach your spreadsheet to a support report. We never collect file names, sheet names, column names, cell values, or any data from your spreadsheet as part of a support case.

For billing-related cases, we may store payment identifiers (such as a Stripe session or customer ID) needed to investigate the issue. We never store card numbers, CVCs, or full billing instrument data.

4. Payments

If you buy SheetRevive Pass or a Pro subscription, Stripe processes the payment. SheetRevive does not store raw card details. We store only entitlement metadata needed to honor that purchase (plan kind, expiry, and a Stripe customer reference), not your spreadsheet.

5. Analytics

We record coarse, privacy-safe product and operational events such as “file selected,” “analysis completed,” “download completed,” “checkout started,” and “support submitted.” These events are stored as durable aggregate counters (day, event name, optional coarse category, integer count) in our database. They never include cell values, row contents, column names, sheet names, file names, or personal data from your spreadsheet. We use an anonymous product identifier where useful; account creation is not required. These counters are aggregate counts, not unique-user records.

6. Support email notifications

If you provide an email with a support case, we may send transactional email about that case (an acknowledgment and meaningful status updates). These emails contain only your case number, category, status, public resolution summary, a support link, and our contact address — never your spreadsheet contents, file names, or internal diagnostics. We do not send marketing email, and support emails are never added to a marketing list. Email delivery is not guaranteed; your case remains accessible through the in-app status lookup.

7. Cookies

We use necessary cookies: a signed, httpOnly cookie to remember your entitlement (free, one-time, or pro) between visits, and a signed httpOnly admin session cookie for operators. These cookies do not contain spreadsheet data. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

8. Local storage

SheetRevive uses your browser's localStorage to save reusable cleanup recipes and count product events. Recipes contain only the names of cleanup rules you selected, never spreadsheet values.

9. Email collection

Email is collected only through clear user action: optionally on the support form, and via Stripe for payment receipts. We do not automatically subscribe support or payment emails to any marketing list. Marketing email, if ever introduced, will require separate explicit opt-in.

10. Data retention

Support records (case descriptions, privacy-safe diagnostics, internal notes, billing metadata, and audit entries) are retained for as long as needed to provide support and for accounting purposes, and may be deleted after that period at our discretion. Spreadsheet contents are never part of this system.

Payment and refund records may be retained for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and dispute-evidence purposes as permitted by law. Durable analytics counters are aggregate and non-identifying after aggregation; they are retained for product insight and may be cleaned up after a configurable period.

11. Deletion requests

You may request deletion of eligible personal data we hold (such as a support case email) by contacting us through the support page. We will action eligible requests, subject to legal/accounting retention obligations. Aggregate analytics counters are not personal data after aggregation and are not individually deletable.

12. Security

We apply reasonable safeguards including signed cookies, server-side secret validation, CSRF protection, rate limiting, and privacy-safe diagnostics. We do not make impossible guarantees about security. See our security page.

13. Supported file types

SheetRevive supports .csv and .xlsx files. Macro-enabled workbooks (.xlsm) are not accepted.
